Today’s young generation of Muslims faces increasingly complex psychological, social, and spiritual challenges (academic pressure, uncertainty about the future, and the influence of global culture that can erode Islamic identity). In this context, the concept of tazkiyatun nafs (purification of the soul) as a Sufi teaching in Islam offers a profound spiritual framework for building resilience. This study seeks to examine how the integration of tazkiyatun nafs can become the foundation for developing resilience in the young generation of Muslims. The study method uses a literature study with a qualitative analysis approach to primary sources (the Qur'an, Hadith, and works of classical scholars) as well as secondary sources (scientific journals, books, and articles related to Islamic psychology and Sufism). The results of the study: the process of tazkiyatun nafs—from nafs ammarah, lawwamah, muli'ah, to mutma’innah—can strengthen an individual’s internal capacity to face pressure and maintain spiritual and emotional balance. Study findings: Integrating the values of tazkiyatun nafs (muraqabah, muhasabah, tawakkal, and syukr) has proven effective in strengthening mental resilience. The study is expected to provide strategic recommendations for Islamic education, values-based counseling, and community-based youth development programs.
